native of Israel, Gili Sharett performs around the world as a soloist, with chamber groups, and as an orchestral musician. She has appeared with the Israel Philharmonic under the baton of Zubin Mehta, the American Symphony under Leon Botstein and the Jupiter Symphony. She has won first prizes in the Rubin Academy of Music competitions and the Artists International competition and received scholarships from the America-Israel Culture Foundation. She is a faculty member at the Brevard Music Center and has also participated in the Verbier Music Festival in Switzerland. Ms. Sharett received her Bachelor of Music degree with honors from the Rubin Academy of Music in Tel Aviv and is currently completing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at SUNY Stony Brook, where she also received her Master of Music degree. Her principal teachers include Mordechai Rechtman , Leonard Hindel, Dennis Godburn and Kim Laskowski.
